Mobile Crisis Vermont is a new, enhanced emergency support system for Vermonters experiencing mental health and substance use crises. It’s an invaluable approach to help relieve stress on critical emergency resources – ERs, Police departments, EMTS, etc. And it’s a program that benefits all Vermont communities.

After launching the initial “Get Help VT” campaign for the state in 2024, we were brought back this year to introduce 988 as Vermont’s new, encompassing Crisis Lifeline. Given the sensitivity of the subject material, we worked closely, and at great length, with leadership and clinicians in Vermont’s mental health community to develop strategies that allowed us to portray this essential information realistically and compassionately.

Ultimately, we evolved the core messaging to “Don’t Wait – Call or Text 988”, and produced a series of 5 films for end users and providers to better understand how the Mobile Crisis system works – and what to expect when you make that life-changing call. The messaging is now being used on social media, websites, PR  and other venues to spread awareness of this vital service.

“Working with The Imagination Company on our statewide communications campaign was a highly successful experience. They were exceptionally responsive, crafted an effective campaign, and maximized our budget efficiently. We were impressed with their professionalism and creativity throughout the project.”
