Over the period of 2 years, we worked with the community leaders and business owners of St. Johnsbury to evolve their brand as an arts and entertainment center and communicate it in a series of seasonal films and TV spots highlighting the history, culture and attractions of the town and surrounding community.

It’s always creatively and personally rewarding to spend this much time doing a deep dive and discovering the soul of a Vermont community, and St. J was another affirming experience. From the legendary Fairbanks Museum to the equally captivating Atheneum, from the joys of Dog Mountain and Circus Smirkus to Catamount Arts – it was a joy to capture and tell their story.

It’s not an exaggeration to say that the debut of the first of the films at Catamount Arts was a career high for us. The community came out en masse to a celebration at the theater where they had to hold several additional showings due to the robust turnout. And that was followed by celebratory banquet at Bailiwicks downtown.

For us, this type of branding and storytelling has a real double impact. The the primary purpose is, of course, to help attract new visitors and new residents, but the positive impact that it can have on the community members and civic and business leaders is also invaluable in growing a community.

“The Imagination Company worked closely with the St. Johnsbury Chamber of Commerce to identify and encapsulate the unique fabric of the community. We wanted a promotional piece that would compel viewers to Discover St. Johnsbury, and we believe Jim and Kristen delivered on that promise. The finished product is unique, educational, captivating, and magnetic.” – Barbara Hatch, Executive Director
